Our Mission

Organizations thrive when they have a mentally-healthy workforce. At Health and Productivity Sciences, Inc., (HAPS), our mission is to reduce the large human and economic costs of common employee mental health problems including depression, anxiety and stress. HAPS offers practical, effective and affordable workplace solutions that build on our team’s extensive track record in research and innovative evidence-based employee-centered care paradigm.

Our Vision

HAPS enables organizations to seamlessly increase their capacity to supply employee-centered care. Employees with depression, anxiety or psychological distress often adopt patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving at work that interfere with work efficiency, effectiveness, engagement and satisfaction. Existing care models fail to address these challenges directly.

Employee-centered care ensures that working people with common mental health problems recover their ability to function effectively at work and successfully transition from being a patient back to being a productive and engaged employee.

Employee Story:

Part One
I got depressed about two years ago. I had just turned 45, had become the Director of Marketing for a medium-sized company after working really hard for most of my career, and I think the stress just overwhelmed me.
I’d find myself at my desk, with a To Do List a million items long, and I just couldn’t make myself start even the most straightforward thing. One day I totally spaced on a meeting with our CEO and I knew I had to do something. I have a good relationship with my primary care doctor, so I went to see her and she diagnosed me with depression and started me on an antidepressant medication.
